‘By Order of the Peaky Blinders’, Shelby & Co. Bar + Kitchen wins at the FAB Awards
July 10th, 2025 – Shelby & Co. Bar + Kitchen, the Peaky Blinders-styled bar and restaurant at Birmingham Airport, has been crowned Airport Bar or Pub of the Year at The Moodie Davitt Report Airport F&B + Hospitality Awards (FAB) held recently in Barcelona.
Licensed by Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment, SPP Group’s Shelby & Co. Bar + Kitchen was announced joint winner of the Airport Bar or Pub of the Year (≤20M passengers) award and also the Europe Regional winner in the same category.
Dedicated to the airport food and beverage business, the prestigious FAB Awards, recognise airports, F&B operators, and brands around the world, celebrating excellence in the industry and highlighting commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Shelby & Co. Bar + Kitchen launched in Birmingham Airport in December 2024 following a licencing agreement with SSP Group, the global leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations. The venue is in keeping with the era of the iconic series, displaying the 1920s throughout its design and offering an extensive food and drinks menu that showcases local breweries and gins, providing an authentic taste of Birmingham.
The multi-award-winning Peaky Blinders was created and written by Steven Knight (SAS Rogue Heroes, Taboo, the upcoming House of Guinness on Netflix). Originally produced for the BBC and distributed by Banijay Rights, it has sold in more than 190 countries and is widely available internationally on Netflix.
