With genre-defining production values, filming for 24 hours a day, One Born Every Minute trail-blazes an evolution in the field of reality and documentary television.

From the reception desk to the neo-natal ward, the operating theatre to the birthing pool, the series captures the beginning of life as it really happens. It observes the dramatic, emotional and often funny moments that go hand-in-hand with bringing a new life into the world, from the perspective of the soon-to-be parents and family, as well as the hospital staff.

One Born Every Minute celebrates what it really feels like to become a parent, by taking a bustling maternity hospital and filling it with 40 remotely-operated cameras, filming 24 hours a day over a seven-week period.
