Description

We meet Keith, bed-bound at home, and unable even to sit up without help. He has been given 3 years to live. We get a sense of the life he’s created from his bed. The routine that never, ever changes, his small family unit, self-sufficient, isolated and scared of change. Daily routine bed baths, nappy changes, eating, etc. Keith meets the experts: the multidisciplinary healthcare team who are going to do their upmost to save his life. This surgeon, doctor, dietician, psychologist and exercise therapist will analyse Keith’s current state of health and decide whether surgery is even an option or just too risky. Keith’s only hope is surgery. He is pinning everything on being given the go-ahead. The bariatric physician feels that Keith is a lost cause but the rest of the team decide to push ahead. This is Keith’s story.
