Description
In the past there was no internet and no behavioural psychologists. People relied on their community and their collective wisdom to figure out the common challenges of raising children... As the saying goes, ‘It takes a village to raise a child’.
Now families seeking major help with parenting will take drastic steps by moving their child to a rural village for two weeks where they’ll hopefully discover that their life, which they’ve grown highly accustomed to, isn’t the only way to live.
How will the children cope when they are part of a tight community where every adult has a say in what they get up to? The children will discover that in the village, no-one is anonymous, everyone knows everyone and are all part of the community, which means even ‘difficult’ teenagers must take their share of responsibility... a genuinely new experience for these city kids, and one that may even change their lives.
