Description
The Magnificent is a high estrogen sketch comedy. In this series, starring Léane Labrèche-Dor, Julie Ringuette, Marie-Hélène Thibault and Geneviève Schmidt, we will find a myriad of female characters with absurd and irreverent humor. Each 30-minute program is made up of a clever assemblage of biting sketches which feature these women, all “magnificent” according to their own criteria, and moving in a contemporary, but resolutely absurd, universe. The series reveals to us through a panoply of situations the crosses, the contradictions, the sometimes excessive sides, but completely assumed of the women of 2018.
This comedy is an adaptation of the German series Ladykracher , which has been adapted in several countries, including France and Spain. The Quebec version is made up of equal parts of adapted sketches and original sketches written by a team of talented authors.
