Description

RDF Television for UKTV

This ten-part documentary series shows Alex working for six months on the front line of one of the most prestigious fertility clinics in the UK, King’s Fertility London. She has been given the chance to train as a fertility assistant, learning how to chaperone patients, take-blood and assist in embryos transfers and egg collections. For the first time in her life, she witnesses the emotional turmoil and resilience of the patients going through IVF as she supports the dedicated team of nurses, embryologists and doctors that run the specialist unit.

This is an incredibly personal journey for Alex as she has faced her own fertility challenges. After suffering a miscarriage, she almost lost hope of conceiving again. With a bit of help, Alex eventually went on to have another healthy baby boy, and later a baby girl and she is determined to help other families through their journey.
