Vincent Picard is a unique and popular History and Geography teacher. Following the death of his wife, who died during childbirth, Vincent falls into denial and chooses the next day to return to his high school as if nothing had happened.
Rather than dealing with his grief, Vincent devotes himself more than ever to his profession as a teacher. Becoming very close to his students, Vincent goes above and beyond to help them resolve their personal issues. At the same time, Vincent will have to tackle his own grief and accept his new-found fatherhood. Will he regain his taste for life?
In season two we are introduced to a new brilliant teacher, Alexandra Delal (Julie de Bona). Alexandra excels at teaching French and Drama to her adoring students. She is naturally empathetic and preaches that students learn best when they feel safe and valued.
With this in mind, Alexandra is more than a teacher to her students and helps them in all areas of their lives. She is especially close with her class of 16-year-old students and dedicates a lot of time, not only to teach them, but help them resolve their personal problems.
Everything is flipped upside down when Alexandra is diagnosed with a brain tumour, something which could end her career and her family plans. For the first time in her life, Alexandra who loves helping others, will also have to agree to be helped.
