Banjo Beale, winner of Interior Design Masters is setting up his own Interior Design business on the Isle of Mull in the inner Hebrides. Australian Banjo and his husband Ro moved to the Isle of Mull ten years ago. Now he’s sharing his ambitious design style with the rest of the Hebridean community. Designing on these remote Scottish islands often in extreme conditions will test his ingenuity and resourcefulness. Each week Banjo tackles a new design brief for a local client with his trusty band of skilled islanders who help him realise his creative vision.

Ratings

  • The premiere of DESIGNING THE HEBRIDES on BBC Scotland achieved an average consolidated audience of 116,900 viewers and a 1.06% market share (more than doubling BBC Scotland’s slot average market share by +132% for All Individuals).
  • Maintaining this success across other key demographics, DESIGNING THE HEBRIDES also outperformed the broadcaster’s slot average for Adults 35-54 (+173%), Adults 55+ (+183%), ABC1 Adults (+334%), Housewives (+138%), Men (+111%) and Women (+150%).
  • Following the BBC Scotland airing, DESIGNING THE HEBRIDES then broadcast on BBC2 on the Tuesday and delivered an average consolidated audience of 593,700 viewers and a market share of 5.49%. This was below BBC2’s slot average market share of 6.83% and this under-performance was across all demographics, this is probably due to the show being broadcast the day before and then the whole boxset available on iPlayer.
