Description

Jarowskij Finland for Nelonen

When charming and successful businessman, Ruben Waara, turns 50 he decides to turn a new leaf. After selling his company he returns to his old hometown of Hanko on the southern coast of Finland, where summer seems to last forever.

Ruben is surprised to see how much both the town and its inhabitants have changed in 25 years, and this is especially the case with his daughter Vera, with whom Ruben has had little contact in recent years and now has to rebuild the connection with. Vera works in Hanko as a police officer and has little patience nor time to rekindle the relationship with her estranged father, whose arrival in Hanko coincides with a rare homicide - a human head is found on a beach.

Ruben sticks his nose in Vera’s murder investigation, just to learn that the murder is part of the power struggle within the powerful Caven family and both Ruben and Vera must weigh their loyalties between work and family.
