Forty years later, two aspiring Australian film-makers come across the mysterious musician’s lost album and set out to discover what went wrong. They track Van Duren down on Facebook and, despite never having picked up a camera before, journey through the US to meet him. Along the way they cross paths with rockstars, Scientologists, con men and a host of talented musicians who never quite made it.
