Description

A U&Original series produced by BlackLight TV and Westward Studios with support by Visit Jersey for U and U&DRAMA

Bergerac is a modern re-imagining of Robert Banks Stewart’s iconic detective drama, originally starring John Nettles and running on the BBC from 1981 to 1991. While the original delivered a new mystery each week, the reboot tells one character-driven case across six episodes, blending classic intrigue with a contemporary edge.

In the second series, Jim Bergerac (Molony) begins rebuilding his life. His mother-in-law, Charlie Hungerford (Wanamaker), has found new romance, and with Kim’s (Sweetlove) encouragement, Jim cautiously steps into dating. A chance meeting with Nicola (Beeput), visiting Jersey, sparks a potential new beginning.

But before their relationship can take shape, Jim is drawn into another gripping investigation. When a groom is discovered murdered in his hotel room during a wedding celebration, suspicion falls on the entire party. Deciphering the victim’s cryptic last words leads Jim to buried secrets and hidden skeletons—his most intricate and dangerous case yet.
