Endemol Shine Australia for ABC

Almost twenty percent of Australians live with a disability, Australia’s largest minority group, but that community make up only seven percent of practicing musicians. This raw and unflinching series seeks to uncover extraordinary talent that has, until now, mostly been excluded from Australia’s mainstream music landscape. 

Elly-May Barnes, a musician and fervent campaigner for inclusion wants to challenge stereotypes and exclusion. With support from her dad, Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes, and key figures in the Australian music scene, they will find and assemble two bands made up entirely of musicians living with disability. 

This series will follow along as they transform a group of strangers to must-see acts at a iconic live music event, all in just seven weeks.
