Description

How would you feel if you witnessed an animal being slaughtered and were then offered its meat? Kill It, Cook It, Eat It brings together, in front of an invited audience, two moments the public have conveniently separated: the death of the animal and the consumption of its flesh. The format reconnects people with how the animals they eat reach their plate and shows, unflinchingly and in detail, the entire process from farm to fork. Each episode is set mainly in a dining room with a difference – either it’s attached to an abattoir or a hunting estate, but in all cases the audience watches or takes part in the slaughter, butchering and cooking of their dinner. They see the process in full, up close and uncensored, before deciding whether to eat the animals killed in front of them.
