Description

Series 1: 4x90' Series 2: 8x45' or 4x90'

Yellow Bird for TV4 and ARD Degeto

Set in the remote and spectacular landscape of northern Sweden, this series revolves around lawyer Rebecka Martinsson, who despite a great career with a law firm in Stockholm has not really found peace with herself. Her past continues to occupy her mind and ever-present questions regarding her troubled childhood still plague her.

In season 1, Rebecka returned to her traditional family home in Kiruna to attend the funeral of a local priest. Her plan was to travel with a return ticket, but Rebecka stayed on. In season 2, several years have passed and Rebecka’s anxieties about whether she made the right decision to remain have grown worse.

In her work as a prosecutor, Rebecka is unorthodox, vigorous and very effective. The cases she continues to encounter in her home town prove to be more emotionally and professionally challenging than ever before.

Four new cases include an investigation into a young man’s death by drug overdose; the unravelling of an old family feud that turns violent; the reopening of a 16 year old cold case; and a woman and infant are found dead in a car – was it an accident or a crime?
