Minnow Films for BBC Two
This multi-award-winning and critically acclaimed film gathers testimonies from over fifty people caught up in the coordinated terrorist attacks on London.7 July 2005 should have been a day of celebration in London. The day before the city had won the bid to host the 2012 Olympics. Instead, it was one of the darkest days in the capital's long history. Terrorists attacked the public transport network killing 52 people and injuring over 700.
This feature length documentary details the extraordinary unfolding story of the day and explores the long lasting effects. Reflecting on how their lives have changed, we hear from previously unconnected members of the public now inextricably linked forever. We also hear from transport officials and members of the emergency services involved in the huge rescue operation.
