Follow two salvage businesses in the North West of England as they deal in everything from old bricks to stained glass windows, architectural antiques to old cattle troughs. These guys know the value of everything from oak floorboards to Victorian bricks. They are hopelessly passionate about buying stuff they love and protecting the craftsmanship of the past against today’s rampant throwaway culture. Benefitting from the recession, they eagerly snap up items from liquidated companies and sell them on to antiques dealers, property developers and the public. If there’s a market for it, they’ll buy it.
