Description
The Happy Couple is a TV adaptation of Manel Fontdevila’s popular comic strip, published
in Spain’s satirical magazine El Jueves. This slice-of-life comedy series is pieced together
revealing the amusing struggles faced by a young couple in love. When Mauricio and Emilia met in a nightclub, they didn’t exactly hit it off. He thought she was a typical know-it-all, she thought he was a typical country bumpkin, but then chemistry took over and soon the pair were inseparable. Love blossomed. The humorous stories unfold in Mauricio and Emilia’s flat, a love nest furnished with the cast-offs from the street.
