Description
In Big Diet, twelve overweight candidates (six women and six men in their mid-twenties to mid-forties) move into a Big Diet house, where they are filmed as they try to take control of their weight and nutritional problems. Over a period of 13 weeks (91 days), the candidates follow a predetermined daily and weekly regime, which is updated during the course of the series. Success is rewarded and failure can lead to expulsion, but Big Diet shows us that anyone can make positive changes if they really want to; with the right nutrition, exercise and care. Naturally, the candidates experience setbacks, as Big Diet leads them to temptation and tests their discipline. Through a gradual series of expulsions, after 12 weeks, only four candidates remain and the finale begins. In the final broadcast, the two candidates who have lost the least weight that week are also expelled. Viewers then decide which of the two remaining candidates is the ultimate winner. This lucky, slim person needs strong muscles, as they walk away with the weight they have lost during the entire series in gold!
