Description
Judgement Day is the game show where first impressions are everything. Every day, the way we look, dress and talk influences what people think of us. In Judgement Day, six contestants have to overcome all those prejudices in order to win a year's salary. Stage-by-stage they will be introduced to the audience and step-by-step the audience will learn more about their personal lives, before judging them and deciding who should be eliminated. In a final twist, the winner can win a fortune, or very little - it's all down to his or her own judgement. This time, they will have to overcome their own prejudices and choose someone from the audience who they think earns a huge annual wage. Pick out the head of a multi-national company and they're heading for a millionaire lifestyle, pick out a canteen worker or road sweeper and their prize is a lot more modest. Among our audience are six groups of friends or colleagues. These six groups, each with twenty members, might be from McDonalds, or from a rural Bridge Club. Before the show they each hold a secret ballot to find the most popular person in the group. The six winners are announced live in the studio, and they become the six contestants to play Judgement Day.
The eventual winner of the show takes home a cash prize. But to decide just how much cash, the winner is required to make a judgement of his own. The winner must pick a member of the audience, by appearance alone, and he will win that person’s yearly salary as a cash prize. It could be a penniless student or a £50,000 a year lawyer.
