Description

Game Time is a 100%-interactive programme in which two different games are played and the telephone contestants can win big cash prizes. The key words in Game Time are flexibility and direct response. The objective of Teleplay is to invite viewers to become telephone contestants in the programme’s interactive games. Its content is, therefore, almost entirely made up from viewers’ responses. Teleplay’s décor is entirely computer generated, using a green background screen, on to which the games are projected. The host is the only real part of the set, giving Teleplay a high-tech, virtual look.
Lettershake - in this anagram game, viewers have to find a hidden word from the shuffled letters provided. The category is supplied and remains visible throughout the game. To help the viewers, the host can provide clues and, as time elapses, he can fill in one or two letters of the word. During the last five minutes of the game, a clock ticks away in the corner of the screen, increasing the pressure and tension. When the time is up, a telephone contestant is put through to the studio, to provide their answer.
Bonus Wheel - viewers have to find a 10-letter word which is represented by dots placed vertically on the screen. At the beginning of the game, the host places a few letters (usually four or five) in their correct spots and he can provide clues as the game progresses. During the last five minutes of the game, a clock ticks away in the corner of the screen, increasing the pressure and tension. When the time is up, a telephone contestant is put through to the studio, to provide their answer. Prize system
Nine numbers appear on the screen, behind three of which logos are hidden. The successful contestants from the previous games choose three numbers. If these reveal the three logos, the contestant wins the jackpot. Otherwise, a smaller cash prize is awarded for taking part.
