It’s the show that topples record after record. When the first televised attempt was made on the World Domino Toppling record, the contestants sadly failed. But they proved a huge hit with viewers. A staggering 8.2 million Dutch viewers, more than half the population, were glued to the action. Then in 1988, all the hard work paid off when the competitors toppled 1,382,101 dominoes, and established a new World Record. Since then the World Record has changed hands several times, and Domino Day has become a successful format across Europe and the USA.Domino Day is a spectacular and unequalled event. The aim of the show seems almost too easy: toppling as many dominoes as possible by just pushing over the first one. But Domino Day sees emotions run high as viewers, builders, presenters and international stars watch these tiny stones fall (or not…), all broadcast live!
For weeks, teams of builders from around the world carefully create hundreds of colourful figures, beautiful pictures and exciting surprises! A section of the dominoes may have a Bullfighting theme, in which the collapsing dominoes set off four model bulls that charge towards waiting toreadors.

But this can only happen if the dominoes fall. And will they break the world record? Share the joy or maybe even the disappointment as the dominoes topple. Be part of the success story that gives a whole new meaning to the word domino effect…

Domino Day is a format like no other. As the dominoes collapse, the world records fall and the ratings skyrocket.
