Description
This dynamic show sets out to make and then break four records every week, but viewers and contestants don''t need to be Olympic athletes to take part. The records involve everyday items, feats everyone can practice at home. It could be a test to determine who can peel the most onions in a minute, or a challenge to see who can put on the most T-shirts in 60 seconds - everyday records with big rewards. Whoever sets the highest mark takes home the jackpot.
The winner breaks a record and receieves a sum of money. Half of this goes into a safe. If a viewer at home thinks they can beat the record set, they can challenge the record holder. If the challenger manages to beat the record, they will recivie the same amount of money, half of which again goes into the safe., After five attempts to break a record by multiple challengers, the sum of money in the safe (having substantially grown) will be rewarded to the ultimate record holder.
Record Breakers in the Netherlands was coupled with the National Lottery draw. Here three candidates from the audience must indicate whether they think the record will be broken and by whom. The audience member who gets it right gets to draw five numbers for the lottery which may win them prizes. At the end of every Record Breakers show, one audience member has the chance of winning a car.
Record Breakers is a fun filled and entertaining show with big viewer involvement, guaranteed to break records in any schedule
