Description

Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Park are part of the Aspinall charitable foundation based in Kent. A mere 20 minutes apart, between them these two collections house over 600 animals from over 50 species. The majority of these animals are endangered or threatened in the wild. Pacey, informative and fun, Roar takes the viewers behind the scenes with the keepers, to bond with the animals as they give birth, and are cared for and treated by the vets. Regular features in each show include behind the scenes dramas, Keeper for the Day, Furry Facts and lots of take out value. Roar is fun, fast and furious with a soap opera-like story running through the programme, entertaining animals with their keepers and lots of animal information. It is led by two young presenters whose job it is to get up close and dirty, feeding and mucking out the animals and guiding the children who appear on the programme.
