Who has what it takes to turn their passion into success?
A reality competition in search of the country’s most talented unsigned singers. A casting team leads the search and catches everything on camera, with the top performances placed online, allowing the public to vote, comment and share their favourite videos. Only 100 candidates go on to the final casting stage where they face five of the nation’s top-selling artists. Each judge only has 20 spots, so the candidates have to quickly pick who they want to be assessed by.
Only five aspiring singers are chosen by each judge to perform live on the first show, at the end of which only the lucky ones move on to the second show where both judges and audience get to save their favourites. At the end of each performance the judges grant untouchable status to their favourite contestant, safeguarding him from elimination. The others have to win over the public by garnering as many SMS votes and calls as they can. The two with the least votes have one last chance to impress the judges, singing a cappella with only the best one going through.
In between live shows, the contestants are given weekly challenges where they might be asked to create a music video or promote themselves on social media sites. They also receive a weekly allowance which they can spend on styling, dance lessons or vocal coaching.
In the end, only four contestants go head-to-head in a grand finale where they compete to win the public’s vote for an impressive cash prize.
