Description
In this one-off programme, children from different backgrounds sit down for a three-course meal - prepared by equally young chefs - and say what they really think about issues ranging from family, parenting, marriage and divorce to politics, education, relationships and bullying.
Dinner at 11 is a unique documentary especially constructed with the aim of finding out what it means to be a child today, by watching what happens when a group of kids come together for a dinner party. All the kids featured in the programme are smart and opinionated, yet from very diverse backgrounds. The tone is warm, comedic and thought-provoking.
The cameras film the entire meal play out – from preparation and cooking to the serving and eating of the meal. The film inter-cuts actuality from the table and kitchen with stylised interviews and backstories with the contributors.
This film creates a real platform for the cast to tell what they really think about the important issues in life – whether it’s topics like family, parenting and marriage or political hot potatoes like immigration, education and who should run the country.
