Heart achingly funny dating show in which single guys and girls ride The Love Machine with hopes of finding their perfect partner.
The most fundamental and tribal dating instinct is the first impression: 70% of us believe in “love at first sight” and scientists say it takes just 5 seconds to form that impression. So you’re just as likely to find love in a continuously, revolving, shop-window of potential suitors – called The Date Machine – than on any singles circuit!
From the very first spin of The Date Machine, the show delivers a powerful and compelling narrative, where three contestants must find love by simply asking themselves, “Do I Fancy You?” If not, they spin the machine again. Each lucky contestant is presented with eight suitors, one by one, at random. If they reject all seven then they must go with number eight.
To get to know each other a little better, the three newly formed couples are forced to speak the absolute truth, in a series of quick-fire questions based on their first impressions. Both parties must answer a question about the other correctly, to earn money to take with on their holiday.
In a final test of fate, the picker will be asked whether they wish to stick with their date or spin again. If the picker chooses to stick they will go on the holiday together, if not, the picker will go on holiday with a random suitor from The Date Machine.
This process is repeated twice more, once with a male picker and then with a second female picker.
