Description
Families compete for prizes, from a new kitchen to an entire family vacation. Each family member represents a link and together they create a chain. If they succeed in keeping the chain together, every link has to answer the question correctly to complete the chain. The show has a prize ladder with eight levels representing the family’s wishes. To advance to the next level each family member gets one question, which they must answer correctly. One mistake and the chain is broken and the family is out. At the start of each round a subject is given to the family. The family members must place themselves based on what they think they know about the subject. The easiest question is given to the person placed to the left and the questions gets harder when they move down the chain. They have three lifelines, skip a question to move to the next person, switch place during a question to let another member answer for you and with family they let every member of the family type in their answer. The answers are then shown on a diagram and the contestant can choose if he/she wants to stick to his own answer or the family’s. The questions become more difficult as the family move their way up the prize level. Level 3 has 4 different answers to choose from, level 5 has six and the highest will have 10. The prize ladder also has 2 safety levels and if a wrong answer is given, you automatically drop down to the nearest safety level. After the subject of the next round is revealed, the family has the option to stop playing and claim the prizes they’ve already won or continue with the risk of loosing everything. The structure is very similar to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
