From Canada to Brazil, hundreds of students have been fighting sleep to put in unusually long hours. Why? To build the most advanced, futuristic and ultra energy-efficient vehicles. Cars capable of travelling thousands of miles on a single tank of gas, cars that the students are entering into the Shell Eco-Marathon 2013 in Houston. Over 100 teams of young innovators and engineers from across the American continents will converge on downtown Houston to compete in this unique competition.
