It's the perfect place to be a teenager. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, long sunny days. The cafes spill onto the streets, the streets spill onto the foreshore and the music spills across everything. And bang in the middle of this paradise is Blue Water High where every year twenty, lucky 16 year olds are selected for an intensive, twelve month residential school program. They come from all over Australia and all around the world. Rich, poor, black, white and everything in between. Blue Water High is your average school in every sense except one. A benefactor has established an academy there for students who are very good at one thing - surfing. The academy has an awesome reputation and its pupils have been hand picked from hundreds of worldwide applicants to spend a year getting the best coaching around. At the end of that year, one boy and one girl will get the prize they all covet - qualification to surf the pro-circuit and a three year sponsorship contract. It's the dream job of all time and the competition will be fierce.
